Achieve more everyday with What Do I Need To-Do?

Often we tend to do the quick, easy or fun To-Dos first, putting off the more important To-Dos, which would achieve real results.

Organising your To-Dos in this quick and simple way will help you to achieve more everyday!

How to use What Do I Need To-Do?

To get started, create a new To-Do by clicking on the New button. Add a title for your To-Do and then add further details if you need to. Then, simply choose whether the task is Urgent or Not Urgent and Important or Not Important

What Do I Need To-Do? uses two simple categorisations of To-Dos

1. Is the task urgent? - does it require immediate action?

2. Is the task important? - will it achieve results?

Urgent tasks that need to be done now may or may not be important

Important tasks are those which will move you closer to your goals

New To-Do Screen

What Do I Need To-Do? then files your To-Dos in one of four categories in a simple, easy-to-use matrix

Main Screen

From here, you can view all of your To-Dos in every category of the matrix and you can scroll through your To-Dos in a particular category

You can also e-mail your list of To-Dos using the E-Mail button. What Do I Need To-Do? conveniently organises your list into an easy to read e-mail so that you can view your list on your computer

Now that you have filed your To-Dos quickly and simply, where should you start?

Urgent and Important

Ideally, no tasks should end up in the Urgent and Important category - with good forward planning your important tasks should never become urgent, this is of course is easier said than done and is something which you should work towards!

Not Urgent and Important

The To-Dos in this category are those which will make a real difference to your personal or working life. An easy way to prioritise your Not Urgent yet Important tasks is to set deadlines for these - do this and you will really start to achieve results!

Urgent and Not Important

You may be wondering what could be Urgent yet Not Important. Tasks that fall into this category could be for example Paying Bills, definitely urgent but not necessarily important to your end goals. They could also be someone else's important To-Dos but are not necessarily relevant to your goals. The key to tackling these To-Dos is to allocate the minimum time possible to complete these tasks. It's easy to spend longer on these ones then you need to. Or, can you even delegate these?

Not Urgent and Not Important

To-Dos that are neither Urgent nor Important may become urgent if they are left too long, or may simply disappear completely. You will never be able to do everything so think first whether you really need to do these To-Dos!

So, start to tackle your To-Dos category by category.

First, the Urgent and Important To-Dos - the critical ones that need to be done now and will also move you closer to your goals.

Then, start on your Not Urgent and Important To-Dos which will help you to achieve real results.

You may also need to do some of your Urgent but Not Important To-Dos at the same time but remember to allocate the minimum amount of time to these ones so you can spend more time on your Important To-Dos.

Your Not Urgent and Not Important To-Dos may be the fun ones, and of course you must make sure there is some time in the diary for these!

So, start using What Do I Need To-Do? today and achieve more everyday!
